In Jung's analytical psychology model, the mental part of human beings consists of male and female elements and only the agreeing side or element is evident and the other side is hidden. The animus or inner male is the masculine side of woman and responsible for masculine behaviors that influences subconsciously her behavior, performance, speech, and mental life. Jung believes that if a woman can control her inner force and compromise with it she will show its positive masculine characteristics and if she cannot control it she will show negative masculine characteristics. This inner force of women’s mental issues manifests itself in various positive and negative forms. Female poetry is one of the main manifestations of the animus. The study aimed to discover the manifestations, meanings, and implications of animus in Nazik al-Malaika’s poems, as one of the pioneers of form and content revolution in contemporary Arabic poetry. Lack of a systematic analysis of the masculine aspect of Nazik Al-Malaika’s poems, as one of pioneering female contemporary Arabic poetry, which uses psychological approaches was identified to be necessary. The results showed that in her individuality realm, she sometimes is in peace with her male side and sometimes she struggles with it and puts her psychological life in danger. Moreover, the dominance of desperation in her poems shows that she has usually been unsuccessful in dealing with the influencing force. Therefore, the negative aspects of animus are more manifested in comparison with positive aspects.

this article aims to compare the characterization style of "A Sparrow from the East" and "The Beggar" based on statistical method. Statistical method is a style that Bouzyman has established to recognize and compare methods. Bouzyman assumes the existence of morphological variables which increase or decrease with connotative lines. This theory using statistics attempts to avoid the origins of conjecture, taste and subjective judgments in method identification and recognize the methodological features such as dynamism, emotionalism, passivity, rationality, etc, in order to achieve a reasonable analysis. This research aims to analyze the morphological variables of the two works and their statistical data, and to draw tables that can help us to express the typical signs of the different styles of the authors in the scientific or literary atmosphere of the works. It also attempts to specify the level of dynamism, emotionalism, passivity and rationality of the two novels. The results of the study demonstrates that the characterization method of the two writers are quite different and that whenever writers take advantage of dynamism, emotions and dialogue in their method their value( R V A) has increased and when they have receded, it has been decreased.

Zakirat-al-Jasad (Memory of the Flesh), written by AhlamMostaqanemi is a sociopolitical romantic novel that has won Noor award as the best feminine work in the Arab world. Among narration structures, the time element is very significant in this novel. Various theories are presented about narrative time. The most complete theory about time element in novel is Gerard Genette’s theory which has presented an independent theory about narrative time. According to Genette, narration time is formed by considering three time elements: order, duration and frequency. By studying order, time duration compared with calendar time, position of time becomes understandable in the process of forming plot. Using a descriptive-analytical method, in this paper, the author tries to study the dimensions and different narrative time elements in Zakirat-al-Jasad novel based on Gerard Genette's theory. The study of narration time in this novel shows that the narrative is based on time break method and discrete non-linear movements. Narration form has a circular loop in such a way that the end of novel is directly related to its beginning. By this aesthetic technique, Mostaqanemi has selected different options and presented retrospective and introspective narrations. Because of the descriptive delays and frequent use of description, poetic style, mental action, verbs and social commitment of writer, narration speed is low.

Fable and myths- as one of the foundations of ancient heritage-have found a valuable function in modern poetry, and various literary techniques have been created to use them in a richer field. Modern Arab poets utilize these myths to raise the level of their own personal poetic experience to a humanistic level. They create a new implication out of mythical personality ,identical to their own experience. To give a profound impression to their poetry they use the most effective literary techniques, from which the mask is the most efficient one.
